Highland Elementary School  Pre Kinder – 5th grade School is located at 430 Venice Way, Inglewood, California 90302. It is situated in the north section of Inglewood. The surrounding neighborhood consists of apartment buildings as well as some single/multi-family dwellings in the Community.   Rogers Park  is within walking distance of the school, and they offer great after school programs to Highland students.  The Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is approximately four miles southwest of Highland Elementary School . The 405 Freeway is approximately two miles south of the school. 

The faculty consists of twenty-five (25) Classroom Teachers, two Administrators, an Office Manager, a Program Coordinator, a Literacy/Academic Coach, two Campus Supervisors (Security), a Plant Manager and three Custodians, one Resource Specialists, an SDC Teacher, a Speech Therapists, a School Psychologist, four Instructional Aides, two Program Aides, two Special Education Aides. We also have a Nurse Technician on duty two days per week (Thursday and Friday) and one Nurse Supervisor two days per week (Tuesday and Thursday). 

Highland Elementary School educational team consists of highly qualified professionals who possess all the state requirement certification and many of them continue furthering their education to obtain higher degrees and thus proving to be life-long learners, which is a concept that is well embraced by our staff and shared with students to strive for such distinction.  We are committed to providing a safe and friendly atmosphere in which students can learn their grade appropriate content standards and be 100% prepared to take the Standards Based Test; CST, and excel.   We are confident that our students will have a positive learning experience at Highland that will be with them as they move into a  higher educational arena and become successful citizens of our city and our world.
