Parent Involvement
We encourage parents to become involved in the school by volunteering in the classroom, lunch area, and on the playground. In addition, we send parents flyers and Connect Ed phone messages, and we encourage them to attend school events such as Back-to-School Night, holiday assemblies, Parent-Teacher Conferences, and other
school programs. Parents can join our School Site Council to work with the principal and staff members to make decisions about how funds will be used. Parents are also encouraged to join the PTA to make donations or plan activities for students such as sixth grade promotion awards, field trips, assemblies, and fund-raising for
playground equipment. Parents have participated in each of the events stated above, and we hope to see increased participation in all school events. Parents are always welcome to become actively involved at our school and may contact the principal or program coordinator to find out how.
