Major Achievements
• We implemented a new afterschool program, After School Enrichment and Safety (ASES), which provided afterschool care, homework assistance, and enrichment activities such as karate, art, science, and sixth grade yearbook for 82 students.
• Students received music lessons where they learned how to read music and play recorders.
• Last year one classroom teacher and instructional aide received a grant from the Inglewood Education Foundation.
Focus for Improvement
• We will continue to focus on analyzing data (projects and chapter, teacher-made, and district assessments, etc.) throughout the year to guide instruction and help us meet the needs of our students.
• We will strategically group students during our afterschool program, maintaining the smallest number of students required and rotating groups according to their needs.
• We are looking at creative ways for current school personnel to provide extra assistance for small groups
of students in reading and math one day per week.
